My Dream Acting Role: Playing Poison Ivy in My Own Hit DC Comics Blockbuster Film Series
This Poison Ivy art by Elsa Charretier is going into my good luck magic box / digital vision board. My dream role of Poison Ivy … as I long say, it isn’t about Poison Ivy being beautiful or not, I feel I with makeup and a good wig am the actress who looks most like her.
What will it take me to get there? A lot. Directing/writing/acting/scoring my animated works then knocking out the, fingers crossed, first of my series in The Time Machine before i can pitch playing Poison Ivy. The first step for any dream is to believe it’s real. I believe.
In a world before Marvel and DC box office showdowns became the norm, I dressed up as Poison Ivy for Halloween when I was 10 years old. When I put on the costume, my feeling was, “What if this could be a real job?” noting that placing temporary hair dye over my then dyed brunette-blonde ombré hair, I could someday do this. No, I was supposed to have a “normal job,” right? Could kids grow up to play superheroes?
What will it take me to get there? A lot. Directing/writing/acting/scoring my animated works then knocking out the, fingers crossed, first of my series in The Time Machine before I can pitch playing Poison Ivy. The first step for any dream is to believe it’s real. I believe.
My backstory is I have long felt I am a composer first and people push me into acting or long before having any acting roles, defined me and introduced me as “Nicole the actress” as if my composing world didn’t exist. I shall act on my own terms, and show you how I’m boss.
As Ivy is a scientist first, I am a composer and probably much of my life overlaps with hers. I’m big on eco friendly causes, eating mostly vegan except the brief time a nurse insisted I not follow that diet. I AM PAMELA / IVY, her broken self, her true self, all of her.
So I shall manifest today, one of the many days I wish this were real. IT IS REAL. I AM POISON IVY, PAMELA ISLEY, STARRING IN MY VERY OWN HIT BLOCKBUSTER FILM SERIES, playing the role with passion, looking 100% like her, directing it, scoring it, writing it, acting in it and producing the film series. My movie take on Poison Ivy is up there with Heath Ledger’s The Joker as one of the greatest comic book character takes ever on the big screen.
