Today I accepted my Article Group award for drawing the Donkey Kong angry beaver!

I felt like what Peter Jackson must have experienced winning his Best Director Oscar. Photos: the award, shortly after winning, speaking to a member of the media, me giving my acceptance speech.

The competition was fierce but my angry beaver obviously impressed the Article Group academy voters enough for me to beat everyone. Thank goodness Meryl Streep was disqualified for turning in her “draw a video game character from memory, no cheating” entry too late or I wouldn’t stand a chance.
